Marcus Spears ready to go for Cowboys

Five weeks after he was lost for 4-6 weeks with a sprained MCL, Cowboys defensive end Marcus Spears says he's ready to play in Sunday's regular-season opener.

Spears told the Cowboys' web site that he's "95 percent" recovered, and although he will wear a brace on his left knee as a precaution, he's not concerned about it.

"It's not going to be a thought in my mind when I get in the game," Spears said.

Spears has never missed a game in his five-year NFL career, and he'll keep that streak alive on Sunday.
