Falcons TE Gonzalez ponders retirement

Atlanta Falcons tight end Tony Gonzalez is the most prolific tight end in NFL history, but he may decide to call it quits after this coming season, according to FOXSports. The 34-year-old Gonzalez tells the site that he is 50/50 on whether he'll retire at the end of his 14th season in the league.

"It is year to year," he told FOXSports. "I could play another three or four years. I know I could ... There's a lot of different factors. Yeah, I'd probably come back but you never know. I'm going to wait."
Gonzalez went on to say that he feels lucky that he's able to play at all. "Football is a grind," he told the site. "That's why (NFL) careers only last three years. It's tough on your body. It's tough on you mentally. I'm just fortunate to be playing this long." Last season, he caught 83 passes for 867 yards and six touchdowns
